Thermos Cinnamon Maple Pecan Oatmeal

1/3 cup oatmeal organic Quick Cooking or Regular Oats

¼ tsp. of cinnamon

1 tablespoon soaked pecan pieces *

¾ cup of boiling water **

1 tsp of organic maple syrup***

½ tsp. ghee

16 oz thermos or food jar for hot food

1. Soak pecans in water overnight

2. Strain pecans

3. Place oatmeal, cinnamon, and pecans in small thermos

4. Add one cup of boiling water

5. STIR well

6. Screw lid on thermos TIGHTLY

7. Let sit for 15 minutes

8. Open lid and add ghee and maple syprup - stir

9. Let it cool a bit and then enjoy

* Soaking improves digestibility of nuts

** Can vary amount of water depending on how thick or thin you like it

¾ cup water is good if you are eating it right away; use more ⅘ to 1 cup if it is eating it later

*** Can adjust to taste

1. 1 tbsp dried cherries and 1 tbsp almonds

2. 1 tbsp walnuts and cinnamon

3. 1 tbsp cashews and 1 tbsp raisins
