A Rose by any other Name – Allah Hu

Updated: Jun 15, 2021

One day I accidently stumbled upon this recording. After a few seconds I realized I got the wrong one and went to turn it off. Somehow I became still, rooted and unable to move as I heard the pure and unadorned sounds coming like a light from the dark, landing directly into the Heart. Minutes later, I found myself kneeling on the ground, head on the floor and face covered with tears for the sheer beauty of what it conveyed.

I remember being surprised by my reaction. But then I asked why? Would I not recognize someone precious to me if they simply changed their name or clothes? Why then would I not recognize He who is most precious of all? Why would my Heart not open for Him? Regardless of name.

Allah hu – the translation is “God is”. I did not know this but the word Allah has been used since pre-Islamic times by various peoples – Arabs of different faiths, Maltese Christians, Mizrahi Jews as well as Muslims. The term is also used by Sikhs in the Sikh scriptures with reference to God.

Words have the meanings set by the limits of our mind.

Sacred sounds have meanings that are understood by the unfiltered and limitless Heart.

The difference is the listening, the receptiveness.

Allahu Allahu Allahu Allah – God is , God is, God is, God

Allahu Allahu Allahu Allah – God is, God is, God is, God

Allah Hu - God is. For All of us.
